Practice Principal Chris Dunkerley has in excess of 35 years experience in the profession and has worked in senior positions in both Sydney and London. Chris is supported by principal architect – Helga ten Brummelaar who specialises in fit-out, workplace change, health and aged care. Supporting the Principals are a Graduate in Architecture, Senior CAD Technician, Practice Manager and Administration Officer.

DTB Architects works with a wide range of other building and construction industry specialists and can assemble comprehensive teams of consultants when required.

The practice is equipped to handle projects large and small and has completed individual projects ranging in construction cost from less than $100,000 to $35,000,000 with the numerical majority falling in the range $500,000 to $5,000,000. It is normal for the firm to be actively engaged on a number of projects simultaneously over various genres.

DTB are prequalified under NSW Government and University Consultant Panels for a range of Architectural and financial Categories.

Many of DTB Architects’ projects are constructed on “live” sites and we are frequently required to produce designs that accommodate occupied buildings, staged works and decanting, compressed programs, complex planning and maintenance of live services.

The practice’s primary objective with each and every project is to serve our Clients well, and to produce quality buildings that function well and meet as many of our Clients’ requirements and aspirations as the project constraints will allow.

The success of the business over this time has been built on the core principles of delivering intelligent design, sound technology and good building practice at competitive cost.
